Things I Will Miss in the Bay Area: Berkeley Bowl
As if the hairline, Metamucil, and a predilection for the 5 am awakening weren't enough evidence that I'm no longer 25 years old, I've realized that the thing I may miss most about the Bay Area (not counting friends and family, natch) is the Berkeley Bowl, with its ridiculously large produce department.
And don't think for a second that Whole Foods is a suitable stand-in, as you probably pay at least twice as much for the produce their as you do at the bowl. Hopefully New Seasons or some non-chain establishment in Portland will grow on us and prove to have lots of great, locally grown organic produce at a reasonable price.
